The biennale is approaching
I arrived in Venice this week, to witness many of the transformations during the lead-up to the biennale, which opens for Press Preview and next week. Here is a little slice of this tide coming in….The cartage of crates on the water, the installation of biennale signage, construction, construction and construction and the outdoor temporary ‘office’ at the Canada Pavilion.

Hi!I’m Karen Kraven, the Outreach Coordinator at Blackwood Gallery, University of Toronto Mississauga. Part of my job is to coordinate this website, which means I gather, format and upload a lot of the information you will see as you navigate. Christof Migone, Director/Curator, Juliana Zalucky, Exhbition Coordinator at Blackwood Gallery and I will capture behind-the-scenes photos, interviews and reactions to the opening of the 53rd International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia and Cold Morning, a selection of four new films by Mark Lewis soon to be on view at the Canada Pavilion.
